Eli D. Ehrenpreis MD is the Manager of E2Bio Life Sciences. Dr. Ehrenpreis has 30 years of experience as an academic physician, specializing in gastroenterology and clinical pharmacology.
Eli received his medical training at the University of Illinois Medical Center and Northwestern University Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and also completed a Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology. He has served in many important administrative roles, including Director of the GI Fellowship Training Programs at the University of Chicago and at NorthShore University HealthSystems and Chief of Gastroenterology at Northwest Community Hospital and Highland Park Hospital.
Dr. Ehrenpreis is currently Professor of Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine. He is also the Associate Director of the Internal Medicine residency program at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. He has published more than 160 peer-reviewed medical papers, 30 book chapters and has written and edited seven medical textbooks. He is recognized as a world-leading expert in a number of common and rare diseases. He is a reviewer for more than 30 major medical journals.
Dr. Ehrenpreis is the inventor of Colonglideâ„¢, a medical device used to improve colonoscopy and has a number of other patents pending. Dr. Ehrenpreis has been involved in scientific, regulatory and clinical aspects of the development of BocaLinerâ„¢.
